50 cent és el nom artístic de Curtis James Jackson III, (Nova York, Estats Units d'Amèrica, 6 de juliol de 1977) és un cantant de rap i hip hop.
Va assolir fama mundial amb els àlbums Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2003) i The Massacre (2005).
Nascut al barri novaiorquès de Queens, Curtis Jackson traficà amb drogues des del dotze anys fins que decidí iniciar una carrera artística com a cantant de rap. L'any 2000 sofrí un atac i rebé nou trets de pistola; una de les bales l'impactà a la mandíbula i li provocà un canvi a la veu. L'any 2002 fou descobert per Eminem i signà per Interscope Records.
Des d'aleshores 50 Cent ha esdevingut un dels rapers que més discos ven i més diners guanya anualment.
