  • Pot arribar a fer 300 cm de llargària màxima i 190 kg de pes.
  • 38-53 radis tous a l'aleta dorsal.
  • 20-32 radis tous a l'aleta anal.[7][8]

Alimentació [modifica]

Menja organismes bentònics.[7][9]

Hàbitat [modifica]

És un peix d'aigua dolça, salabrosa i marina; demersal; anàdrom i de clima temperat (10°C-20°C).[7][10][11]

Distribució geogràfica [modifica]

Es troba a Àsia: és un endemisme de la conca del riu Amur.[7][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20]

Longevitat [modifica]

Pot assolir els 65 anys d'edat.[21]

Ús comercial [modifica]

És un peix molt apreciat.[22]

Estat de conservació [modifica]

La causa principal de la minva de la seua població és la sobrepesca (tant la legal com la il·legal). Recentment, la contaminació ambiental de la conca del riu Amur amenaça l'hàbitat i la reproducció d'aquesta espècie.[1]

Observacions [modifica]

És inofensiu per als humans.[7]
