És ovípar[5] i les femelles ponen càpsules d'ous, les quals presenten com unes banyes a la closca.[7]

Hàbitat [modifica]

És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes que viu entre 362-2.910 m de fondària.[5][8]

Distribució geogràfica [modifica]

Es troba des de la costa pacífica del Japó i la Colúmbia Britànica (el Canadà) fins a Mèxic.[5][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19]

Observacions [modifica]

És inofensiu per als humans.[5]
