Cantherhines pullus és una espècie de peix de la família dels monacàntids i de l'ordre dels tetraodontiformes.

Morfologia[modifica]

Alimentació[modifica]

Menja esponges de mar, algues, tunicats, briozous i d'altres invertebrats bentònics.[3]

Depredadors[modifica]

És depredat per Echeneis naucrates, Cephalopholis fulva, Epinephelus adscensionis, Epinephelus guttatus, Lutjanus apodus, Mycteroperca tigris, Epinephelus striatus i Ginglymostoma cirratum.[4]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix marí, de clima subtropical i associat als esculls de corall que viu entre 3-50 m de fondària.[1][5]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba a l'Atlàntic occidental (des de Massachusetts -Estats Units-, Bermuda i el nord del Golf de Mèxic fins al sud-est del Brasil) i l'Atlàntic oriental (São Tomé i el Golf de Guinea).[6][7][1][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36][37][38][39][40][41][42]
