Chelonodon patoca és una espècie de peix de la família dels tetraodòntids i de l'ordre dels tetraodontiformes.

Morfologia[modifica]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix de clima tropical (23 °C-28 °C) i associat als esculls de corall.[3][5]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba des de l'Àfrica Oriental fins a les illes de l'Almirallat, Nova Bretanya, la Xina i el nord d'Austràlia.[3][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36][37][38][39][40][41][42][43][44][45][46]

Observacions[modifica]

És considerat una delicadesa gastronòmica al Japó, tot i que és verinós per als humans.[47][3]
