Christopher Eccleston

Christopher Eccleston (Salford, Lancashire, Anglaterra, 16 de febrer de 1964) és un actor anglès que féu de protagonista a la sèrie Doctor Who, juntament amb Billie Piper (Rose Tyler).
Educat a l'escola d'interpretació "Central School of Speech and Drama", es donà a conéixer com a actor a la sèrie Let him have it, al 1991. També ha participat en sèries com Cracker (1993), que el va portar a la fama al Regne Unit.
És un actor reconegut a la televisió britànica, que ha estat dues vegades nominat com a millor actor en els premis BAFTA de la televisió i ha aconseguit el premi d'actor més popular en els premis de la National Television Awards (Televisió Nacional) pel seu paper a la sèrie Doctor Who.
Després d'haver treballat a aquesta sèrie, ha fet d'actor de teatre al Old Vic theatre de Londres (2005)
