Les Coleochaetales són un ordre d'algues Charophyta parenquimatoses,[2] la qual cosa representa un dels parents pluricel·lulars més primitius de les plantes que envaïren la terra.[3] Es qüestionable que incloguin el gènere fòssil Parka.
