Dendrochirus zebra és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels escorpènids.[5]

  • Fa 25 cm de llargària màxima.
  • Coloració vermellosa amb cinc franges fosques.[6][7]

Reproducció [modifica]

Es pot reproduir en captivitat.[8]

Hàbitat [modifica]

És un peix marí, associat als esculls de corall i de clima tropical (30°N-15°S) que viu fins als 60 m de fondària.[6][9][10]

Distribució geogràfica [modifica]

Es troba des del mar Roig i l'Àfrica oriental fins a Samoa, el sud del Japó (incloent-hi les illes Ogasawara) i Austràlia (incloent-hi l'illa de Lord Howe).[6][11][9][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32]
