English: This scanning electron micrograph depicts a grouping of Gram-negative Campylobacter fetus bacteria, magnified 4,976x. The “S-shaped” C. fetus bacterium, also known as C. fetus ssp. intestinalis or Vibrio fetus var. intestinalis, is an opportunistic human pathogen with a worldwide distribution pattern.
