| Descripció |
World famous Spanish street theatre group performing on the Opening Weekend of the Festival. La Fura dels Baus is a Spanish company which is highly recognized worldwide for its outstanding performances in theatre, opera, large-scale performances (in- and outdoors) and film and its unique language, style and aesthetic. Outdoor performance for the whole family will be performed in Reykjavik City Centre on the opening weekend of the Festival, on May 21st. The performance is highly ambitious and on a huge scale relying on many artists and technicians. There will be around 60 participants all together, both from Fura dels Baus as well as local volunteers. This will undoubtedly be a breathtaking event that the audience will not forget easily. La Fura started as a street theater group in 1979 acting in different towns and cities around Catalonia and this was a time when the group was experimenting with many of the aesthetic features that would later form their distinct theatrical language. |
