Sinònims

Fowleria aurita és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels apogònids.[5]

Descripció[modifica]

  • Pot arribar a fer 9 cm de llargària màxima.
  • 8 espines i 9 radis tous a l'aleta dorsal i 2 espines i 8 radis tous a l'anal.[6]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix marí, associat als esculls[7] i de clima tropical (30°N-35°S) que viu entre 1 i 37 m de fondària.[6][8]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba des del mar Roig fins a KwaZulu-Natal (Sud-àfrica), Samoa, Mangareva, les illes Ryukyu, el nord d'Austràlia i l'illa de Lord Howe.[9][6][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36][37][38][39][40][41]

Observacions[modifica]

És inofensiu per als humans i de costums nocturns.[42][6]
