George Edward Pelham Box (18 d'octubre de 1919 a Gravesend , Kent, Anglaterra) és un estadístic que ha fet importants contribucions en els sistemes de control de qualitat, anàlisis de sèries temporals, disseny d'experiments i inferència bayesiana.
Ha escrit llibres com Statistics for experimenters (1978), Time series analysis: Forecasting and control (1979, amb Gwilym Jenkins) i Bayesian inference in statistical analysis. (1973, with George C. Tiao). Actualment el seu nom està associat amb resultats estadístics com els models Box–Jenkins i altres.
Ha escrit que "essencialment tots els models estan equivocats, però alguns són útils" en el seu llibre Response surface methodology amb Norman R. Draper.[1]
