Gonichthys cocco és una espècie de peix de la família dels mictòfids i de l'ordre dels mictofiformes.[2]

Depredadors[modifica]

A les Illes Açores és depredat per Beryx splendens i Phycis phycis.[5][6]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes que viu entre 0-1.000 m de fondària.[3]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba a l'Atlàntic oriental (des de Portugal fins a Libèria, i des d'Angola fins a Sud-àfrica),[7] la Mediterrània oriental[8] i l'Atlàntic occidental.[3][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23]
