Kristin Scott Thomas OBE (Redruth, Cornualla, 24 de maig de 1960) és una actriu britànica.
El 1986 va ser nominada a la pitjor actriu al Golden Raspberry per Under The Cherry Moon, però no el guanyà. Després el seu nivell interpretatiu ha millorat i el 1996 va estar nominada a l'Oscar a la millor actriu per El pacient anglès.
Parla francès perfectament i va estudiar a la École nationale supérieure des arts et techniques de théâtre (ENSATT) de París, on va treballar com au-pair. Viu a França i està casada amb el metge francès François Olivennes, amb qui té tres fills: l'Hannah (1988), el Joseph (1991) i el George (2000).
Tant el seu pare com el seu padrastre eren pilots i ambdós van morir en accidents aeris. És la germana gran de l'actriu Serena Scott Thomas.
Kristin Scott Thomas va rebre el 2003 l'Orde de l'Imperi Britànic i el 2005 la Legió d'Honor. Ha treballat tant al cinema, com a la televisió i al teatre.
