Labeobarbus capensis és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels ciprínids.[6]

Reproducció [modifica]
Es reprodueix a l'estiu migrant riu amunt per fresar en fons de grava.[7][9]
Alimentació [modifica]
Menja algues i invertebrats aquàtics (com ara, insectes, caragols i crancs). Els exemplars més grossos també es nodreixen de granotes i peixets.[7]
Hàbitat [modifica]
És un peix d'aigua dolça, potamòdrom, bentopelàgic i de clima subtropical (30°S-33°S).[7][10]
Distribució geogràfica [modifica]
Es troba a Àfrica: Sud-àfrica.[7][11][12][13]
Observacions [modifica]
És inofensiu per als humans.[7]
