Meuschenia scaber és una espècie de peix de la família dels monacàntids i de l'ordre dels tetraodontiformes.[4]

Depredadors [modifica]
A Nova Zelanda és depredat pel gall de Sant Pere (Zeus faber).[7]
Hàbitat [modifica]
És un peix marí, de clima temperat i demersal que viu entre 20-200 m de fondària.[5]
Distribució geogràfica [modifica]
Es troba a Nova Zelanda[8][9][10] i Austràlia (des del sud d'Austràlia Occidental fins a Nova Gal·les del Sud i Tasmània).[5][11][12][13][14][15]
Observacions [modifica]
És inofensiu per als humans,[5] tot i que li agrada mossegar els dits dels submarinistes.[16]
