Netuma thalassina és una espècie de peix de la família dels àrids i de l'ordre dels siluriformes.

Morfologia[modifica]

Alimentació[modifica]

Menja principalment crancs, gambes, Squilla, peixos i mol·luscs.[6]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix demersal i de clima subtropical que viu entre 10-195 m de fondària.[8][6]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba al Mar Roig,[9][10][11] el nord-oest de l'oceà Índic,[12] Austràlia,[13][14] la Polinèsia, Japó i, més rarament, al delta del riu Mekong.[15][6][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][31][32][33][34][35][36][37][38]

Ús comercial[modifica]

Es comercialitza principalment fresc i, sovint també, assecat.[6]
