Parachaeturichthys polynema és una espècie de peix de la família dels gòbids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.

Hàbitat [modifica]
És un peix marí, de clima tropical i demersal.[5]
Distribució geogràfica [modifica]
Es troba a Austràlia, la Xina (incloent-hi Hong Kong), l'Índia,[7] Indonèsia, el Japó,[8] Oman, Papua Nova Guinea, les Seychelles, Sud-àfrica i Taiwan.[9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26]
Observacions [modifica]
No es pot menjar ja que és verinós per als humans (conté tetraodontoxina, la qual bloqueja els canals de sodi de les cèl·lules i produeix insensibilitat nerviosa i paràlisi muscular).[27][5]
