El peix mandarí (Synchiropus splendidus) és una espècie de peix de la família dels cal·lionímids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.[4]

Hàbitat [modifica]

És un peix marí, de clima tropical (24°C-26°C)[7] i associat als esculls de corall que viu entre 1-18 m de fondària.[5][8]

Distribució geogràfica [modifica]

Es troba des de les Illes Ryukyu fins a Austràlia.[5][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19] [20][21][22][23][24]

Observacions [modifica]

És inofensiu per als humans[5] i ha estat criat en captivitat[25] ja que és una espècie popular en aquariofília.[26]
