Syngnathus fuscus és una espècie de peix de la família dels singnàtids i de l'ordre dels singnatiformes.

Morfologia [modifica]
Reproducció [modifica]
És ovovivípar i el mascle transporta els ous en una bossa ventral, la qual es troba a sota de la cua.[6]
Depredadors [modifica]
Als Estats Units és depredat per Morone saxatilis[7], Pomatomus saltatrix[8] i Centropristis striata.[9]
Hàbitat [modifica]
És un peix de clima subtropical que viu entre 5-366 m de fondària.[4]
Distribució geogràfica [modifica]
Es troba des del Golf de Sant Llorenç (Canadà)[10] fins al nord-est de Florida (Estats Units) i el nord-oest del Golf de Mèxic.[4] [11][12][13][14][15][16][17]
