Tenualosa toli és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels clupeids.[2]

Descripció[modifica]

  • Pot arribar a fer 60 cm de llargària màxima (normalment, en fa 40).[3][4][5]

Alimentació[modifica]

Menja zooplàncton.[6]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix d'aigua dolça, salabrosa i marina; pelàgic-nerític; anàdrom[7] i de clima tropical (23°N-7°S, 70°E-119°E).[3]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba a Bangladesh,[8][9] Cambodja, Hong Kong, l'Índia,[10][5] Indonèsia, Malàisia,[11][12] Maurici, el Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan i Tailàndia,[13] incloent-hi el mar de Java i el riu Mekong.[4][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24]

Es comercialitza fresc o en salaó.[3]
