The Specials va ser un grup de ska britànica formada en 1977 a Coventry. Al costat de Madness és una de les bandes més importants que hagi donat el gènere. Actualment estan retirats. Van començar tocant ska, punk i pop, i més tard van fusionar tot aquests estils, creant un nou so que va ser conegut com 2 Tone. Els seus temes més coneguts inclouen A Message To You Rudy, Ghost Town (el seu màxim hit), Too Much Too Young i el seu debut, Gangsters. The Specials ha influit a un munt de bandes al voltant del món, des de Rancid a No Doubt, passant pels argentins Los Fabulosos Cadillacs .
