Albrecht Carl Ludwig Gotthilf Günther, o bé Albert Charles Lewis Gotthilf Gunther FRS (Esslingen, 3 d'octubre de 1830 - Kew, 1 de febrer de 1914) fou un zoòleg britànic, nat a Alemanya.

Nascut a Esslingen (Suàbia). Estudià teologia a Bonn i Berlín, posteriorment estudià Medicina a Tübingen.

El 1856 ingressà al Museu Britànic, on treballà en Ictiologia. Després de la mort de John Edward Gray, el 1875, fou nomenat director del departament de zoologia del Museu d'Història Natural de Londres, fins al 1895. A banda de treballar amb peixos en la col·lecció del museu també ho feu amb rèptils i amfibis.
