Apogon és un gènere de peixos de la família dels apogònids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.[3]

Reproducció[modifica]

Els mascles, principalment, incuben els ous dins llurs boques.[4]

Hàbitat[modifica]

La majoria de les espècies d'aquest gènere viuen al voltant dels 200 m de fondària o més.[5]
