Cyclothone obscura és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels gonostomàtids.[4]

Descripció[modifica]

  • Pot arribar a fer 6,6 cm de llargària màxima.[5][6]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix marí i batipelàgic que viu entre 900 i 3.500 m de fondària (normalment, entre 2.000 i 2.600) i entre les latituds 36°N-45°S, 180°W-180°E. No fa migracions verticals.[7][5][8]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba a l'Atlàntic,[9][10][11] l'Índic, el Pacífic i el mar de la Xina Meridional.[12][13][14][5][15][16][17][18]

Observacions[modifica]

És inofensiu per als humans.[5]
