Morfologia

Els mascles poden assolir els 270 cm de longitud total.

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba des del Mar Roig fins a Algoa Bay (Sud-àfrica), les Hawaii, Pitcairn, el sud del Japó i Austràlia.
