Paddy and the Rats és un grup de música hongarès fundat l'any 2008 per Paddy (veu), Vince (baix) i Joey (guitarra elèctrica). Més endavant, es van afegir al grup Seamus (bateria), Sonny (acordió) i Sam (violí, banjo i gaita). La banda combina elements del folk i el punk-rock, o tal com ells anomenen Pub'n'roll.[1] L'any 2010 treuen el seu primer disc titulat Rats on board que va aconseguir un gran èxit a Hongria. El seu segon disc, anomenat Hymns for Bastards va ser publicat l'any 2011. L'any 2012, Sonny (bateria) deixa el grup i és substituït per Bernie Bellamy. El 12 de desembre d'aquell mateix any publiquen el seu tercer treball anomenat Tales from the docks.
