Čeština: Vilém Mathesius (* 3. srpna 1882 Pardubice – 12. dubna 1945 Praha) byl český jazykovědec a literární historik, spoluzakladatel a jeden z nejvýznamnějších představitelů Pražského lingvistického kroužku (PLK) a zakladatel české anglistiky.
English: Vilém Mathesius (* 3 August 1882 Pardubice - 12 April 1945 Prague) was a Czech linguist and literary historian, co-founder and one of the most important representatives of the Prague Linguistic Circle (PLK) and founder of Czech English studies.
