És depredat per Platycephalus speculator i Phalacrocorax sulcirostris.[8][9]
Hàbitat[modifica]
És un peix marí, pelàgic-nerític i de clima temperat (29°S-40°S).[6]
Distribució geogràfica[modifica]
Es troba al Pacífic sud-occidental: és un endemisme d'Austràlia.[6][10][11][12]
Observacions[modifica]
És inofensiu per als humans.[6]
