Parapercis aurantiaca és una espècie de peix de la família dels pingüipèdids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.[6] És un peix marí, demersal i de clima subtropical, el qual viu al Pacífic nord-occidental: les àrees sublitorals de fons sorrencs i fangosos[7] del Japó,[8][9][10][11][12][13][14] Corea del Sud,[15][16][17] la Xina[18] i Taiwan.[19][20][21][4][22][23] Mesura 17 cm de llargària màxima.[8][22] El seu nivell tròfic és de 3,43.[24] És inofensiu per als humans.[22]
