És un peix marí, de clima subtropical i bentopelàgic.[5]
Distribució geogràfica[modifica]
Es troba a Austràlia, Nova Zelanda i Papua Nova Guinea.[5][7][8][9][10]
Observacions[modifica]
És inofensiu per als humans.[5]
