Sinibotia és un gènere de peixos de la família dels cobítids i de l'ordre dels cipriniformes.[3]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba a Laos,[4][5] la Xina (Sichuan, Guizhou i Yunnan),[6][7][8][9][10][11] el Vietnam[12] i Tailàndia,[13] incloent-hi les conques dels rius Mekong[14] i Iang-Tsé.[15][16]

Estat de conservació[modifica]

Sinibotia longiventralis, Sinibotia pulchra, Sinibotia robusta i Sinibotia superciliaris apareixen a la Llista Vermella de la UICN. Llurs principals amenaces són la sobrepesca, la contaminació de l'aigua i la degradació del seu hàbitat a causa de la construcció de preses i d'altres modificacions antropogèniques.[24]
