Both WR are way outdated. On 2010-03-21 Zersenay Tadese ran the distance in 58min 23sec in Lisbon (Portugal) and on 2007-10-14 Lornah Kiplagat ran it in 66min 21sec in Udine (Italy.)
Both Haile Gebrselassie's and Elana Meyer's WRs were broken in 2007, but perhaps you folks like glamorous names like Gebrselassie and Elana Meyer more.
They can still be eligible for being mentioned in an even more outstanding section:
Famous athletes that have broken the half marathon WR at some point during their lives.
