Electrona carlsbergi és una espècie de peix marí d'aigües profundes de la família dels mictòfids i de l'ordre dels mictofiformes.
Els adults poden assolir fins a 9 cm de longitud total.[1][2] Viu entre 100-350 m de fondària[1] als oceans Atlàntic,[3] Índic[4] i Pacífic[5][1][6][7][8] a l'hemisferi sud.
Menja copèpodes, eufausiacis, ostracodes, gastròpodes i Hyperiidea.[1]
Depredadors[modifica]
És depredat per Micromesistius australis (a Nova Zelanda), Lampris immaculatus (Illes Malvines),[9] Macruronus novaezelandiae (Nova Zelanda), Thalassarche chrysostoma (Xile),[10] Aptenodytes patagonicus (Illes Crozet),[11] Arctocephalus gazella (Illes del Príncep Eduard) i Arctocephalus tropicalis (Illes del Príncep Eduard).[12][13]
