Pingalla gilberti és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels terapòntids.[4]

Descripció[modifica]

  • Pot arribar a fer 10,5 cm de llargària màxima.[5][6]

Alimentació[modifica]

Es nodreix principalment d'algues.[7][8]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix d'aigua dolça, bentopelàgic i de clima tropical (16°S-17°S).[5]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

És un endemisme d'Austràlia: els rius Gilbert, Norman i Flinders.[5][9][10][11]

Observacions[modifica]

És inofensiu per als humans.[5]
