Triglops pingelii és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels còtids.[5]

Descripció[modifica]

Alimentació[modifica]

Menja crustacis petits (normalment, amfípodes i Mysida) i, de tant en tant, poliquets i peixos.[8]

Depredadors[modifica]

A Noruega és depredat per Hippoglossoides platessoides i a Alaska per l'halibut del Pacífic (Hippoglossus stenolepis).[9][10]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix marí, demersal i de clima temperat (79°N-41°N) que viu entre 0-930 m de fondària (normalment, entre 18 i 91).[6][11][12]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba als Estats Units (incloent-hi Alaska), el Canadà, Dinamarca, Finlàndia, Grenlàndia, el Japó, Corea, Noruega (incloent-hi Svalbard) i Rússia.[6][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36]

Observacions[modifica]

És inofensiu per als humans.[6]
