Diogenichthys atlanticus és una espècie de peix de la família dels mictòfids i de l'ordre dels mictofiformes.

Morfologia[modifica]

Reproducció[modifica]

És ovípar amb larves i ous planctònics.[7]

Depredadors[modifica]

És depredat per Pseudopentaceros wheeleri,[8] Beryx splendens (Rússia)[9] i Stenella longirostris (les Filipines).[10]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes que viu entre 0-1.050 m de fondària.[5][11]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba a l'Atlàntic (entre 50°N i 48°S), l'oest de l'Índic (22°S-45°S), el Pacífic (35°N-25°S) i el Mar de la Xina Meridional.[12][13][14][5][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][7][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36]
