Rajella bathyphila és una espècie de peix de la família dels raids i de l'ordre dels raïformes.[5]

Morfologia[modifica]

Reproducció[modifica]

És ovípar[8] i les femelles ponen càpsules d'ous, les quals presenten com unes banyes a la closca.[9]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes (55°N-16°N) que viu entre 600-2.172 m de fondària.[6][10]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba a l'oceà Atlàntic: el Canadà, Groenlàndia, Islàndia, Irlanda, els Estats Units i el Sàhara Occidental.[11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19]

Observacions[modifica]

És inofensiu per als humans.[6]
