BlitWorks és una empresa de desenvolupament de videojocs amb seu a Barcelona. La companyia és coneguda per portar diversos jocs com Fez, Sonic CD, Jet Set Radio, Super Meat Boy, Bastion, Spelunky, Spelunky 2, Do not Starve a una àmplia gamma de plataformes com PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One , Xbox 360, Steam, Nintendo Switch, Wii U, iOS i Android.

Història[modifica]

Els fundadors van començar a treballar junts el 2011 quan van fer el port del remake de Sonic CD de SEGA per a 2011. En aquest moment, en lloc de crear una nova empresa només per a aquest esforç, van decidir desenvolupar-la sota la companyia de programari que ja era propietat de 2 d'ells, Blit Software, com a mesura temporal.

Després de Sonic CD, van portar Jet Set Radio i després van començar a rebre més consultes perquè els fundadors decidissin que valia la pena centrar-se en la transferència de jocs. Per tant, el 2012 van fundar BlitWorks S.L. com una empresa completament independent. Des de llavors, han estat portant alguns dels jocs indie més famosos.

Com a forma d'oferir un servei de porting més complet, BlitWorks es va associar amb l'empresa QA Lollipop Robot el 2013, i han treballat junts en cada projecte des de llavors.
