«Прямоугольное двухстороннее полотнище с отношением ширины к длине 2:3, воспроизводящее фигуры из герба Нижнетамбовского сельского поселения, выполненные синим, белым, зелёным и жёлтым цветом».

Геральдическое описание герба: «В лазоревом поле на узкой, тонко окаймлённой серебром, оконечности в цвет поля — три зелёные сопки: две выходящие по сторонам и смыкающиеся впереди, между которыми поверх возникающей за ними третьей — серебряная, подобная колонне неправильной формы, скала. Справа вверху всё сопровождено золотым выходящим солнцем, имеющим веерообразные пучки лучей с просветами между ними».
