  • The photographs of letters, deeds, documents of any kind, technical drawings and other similar papers shall not benefit from the legal protection accorded to copyright.

Therefore this image is assumed to be in the public domain worldwide, although some of the above categories may be subject to usage restrictions within Romania.

Stema municipiului Curtea de Argeș, potrivit anexei nr. 1, se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular albastru cu marginile rotunjite.

Scutul este încărcat cu o acvilă neagră cu aripile deschise și cu zborul în jos, cu ciocul și ghearele roșii, cu capul conturnat, ținând în cioc o cruce de aur, poziționată în pal; acvila stă în picioare pe o spadă medievală cu teacă, de argint, așezată în fascie cu vârful spre senestra.

Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu cinci turnuri crenelate.

Semnificațiile elementelor însumate

Elementele componente relevă că localitatea a fost în trecut capitala țării. Din această localitate s-au ridicat unii voievozi, în primul rând domnul Mircea cel Bătrân, pentru a înfrunta oștirea otomană.

Coroana murală cu cinci turnuri crenelate semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de municipiu.
