Alimentació[modifica]
Menja peixos i una gran varietat d'invertebrats, incloent-hi crustacis.[5]
Hàbitat[modifica]
És un peix marí, demersal i de clima temperat que viu entre 5-50 m de fondària.[3]
Distribució geogràfica[modifica]
Es troba a Nova Zelanda i el sud d'Austràlia.[3][6][7][8][9][10][11]

És nocturn.[3]
