Hi! I just abbreviated the following sentence:

El calmuc és una llengua mongòlica parlada per més de mig milió de persones, 175.000 a Calmúquia (Federació Russa), uns 140.000 a la Xina i més de 200.000 a Mongòlia. En aquests dos últims països s'anomena 'oirat'.

What is spoken in Mongolia and China is Oirat, as is Kalmyk, but by Kalmyk you only mean the variety of Oirat spoken in Kalmykia. It would be good to say in the article that Kalmyk is part of an Oirat language spoken by so and so many people in China and Mongolia WHICH is part of the Mongolic language family.
