@Medol: Thank you for expanding the article! However, it seems that the Avenarius born in 1670 was merely an author of theoretical works about music, and its usage in preaching, than a composer. Probably there has been some confusion with that man's nephew, also called Johann(es) Avenarius, born in Steinbach in 1687, who was an organist and composer and is said to have been a teacher of Johann Sebastian Bach. Anyone who can read German please see [1] (pages 12–15) and [2] (pages 26–28). I would still like to know if there is any more information in the Espasa article.
