    Right after the convention Senator Truman went to call on his 91-year-old mother, whom he calls "Mamma" or "Boss". She still lives in Grandview, Mo.
The 1944 Democratic Presidential Convention took place July 19–21, 1944; this photograph is likely to have been taken in July 1944.
