Bathyagonus pentacanthus és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels agònids.[4]

Descripció[modifica]

  • Fa 23 cm de llargària màxima.
  • Aleta caudal arrodonida.[5][6]

Depredadors[modifica]

A Alaska és depredat per Gadus macrocephalus.[7]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix marí, demersal i de clima subtropical (61°N-31°N, 165°W-115°W) que viu entre 110 i 910 m de fondària.[5][8]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba al Pacífic nord: des del golf d'Alaska fins al sud de Califòrnia (els Estats Units).[5][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16]

Observacions[modifica]

És inofensiu per als humans.[5]
