Potamotrygon yepezi és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels potamotrigònids.[4] Es troba a Amèrica del Sud, als rius que desguassen al llac Maracaibo.[5][6] És un peix d'aigua dolça, bentopelàgic i de clima tropical, el qual prefereix els fons fangosos poc fondos i amb aigües tèrboles.[5][7] Fa 40 cm de llargària màxima.[5][8] Menja larves d'insectes.[7] És inofensiu per als humans.[5]
