Viu en zones de clima tropical entre 24 °C - 26 °C de temperatura.[4]
Distribució geogràfica[modifica]
Es troba a Àsia: conques dels rius Mekong[5][6] i Chao Phraya, península de Malaca, Sumatra i Borneo.[3]
Interacció amb els humans[modifica]
És molt apreciat i consumit al nord de la Tailàndia central.[7]
Observacions[modifica]
De tant en tant, és objecte del comerç de peixos d'aquari.[8]
