Polyipnus laternatus és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels esternoptíquids.[5]
Descripció[modifica]
Hàbitat[modifica]
És un peix marí i batidemersal que viu entre 370 i 500 m de fondària.[6]
Distribució geogràfica[modifica]
Es troba a l'Atlàntic occidental: el mar Carib, el golf de Mèxic i el corrent del Golf fins al Cap Hatteras.[6][8][9][10][11][12]
Observacions[modifica]
És inofensiu per als humans.[6]
