És un peix marí i batidemersal que viu entre 300 i 686 m de fondària.[6][7]
Distribució geogràfica[modifica]
Es troba al Pacífic oriental central: les illes Hawaii.[6] [8]
Observacions[modifica]
És inofensiu per als humans.[6]
